The mouse is working perfectly for me. I recommend it!
I’ve been used ErgoPoint over 3 months.
I really like the shape and buttons,
Especially, with a lot of ergonomic mice, ergopoint shape is my favorite design.
However 2 problems of mine.
Durability and the sensor : first the sensor quality isn’t good enough. I usually am using for design tools, autocad, rhino, photoshop, etc.. the sensor need to be sharper.
Next one is durability. It can be upgraded with better assembly quality.
Love the Swiftpoint mice! This one is super ergo, really comfy to use for long periods of work. The sensitivity is great, though it does seem to lose a wee bit of connection with the dongle sometimes, but not often. Probably this will be fixed with driver updates.
The biggest problem with this mouse is its battery life. It only takes a single AA battery, I use Eneloop pro rechargeables (the black one for high drain devices) but am only able to get around 5-6 hours usage out of it, if I am lucky. I suspect the battery isn't completely dead when the mouse stops working, just that the operational voltage drops low enough that the device cannot function. For the life of me I can't see why they didn't put a second AA battery in there, stacked on top of the existing one to avoid that problem. Not so bad because I can keep my rechargeables on a merry go round of recharging, but I expect to be opening the battery door a LOT.
Thanks for your review.
With a typical AA battery ErgoPoints battery life should fall within 100-200 hours of active use. So if your ErgoPoint appears to be disconnecting after such a short period with a new battery this could be a connectivity issue, or a bad batch of batteries.
