I love to use Macros. Thus, in the past, I have used mice which had Mouse 6/7/8 and started getting very dependent on those extra buttons. I got super excited when I saw this mouse and the vast number of additional buttons. I knew I would love all of the extra buttons this allows. After playing with it for a bit, I can say that at first, it feels awkward, as your hand is not used to having that many extra buttons, but even after just a few times using the additional buttons, it starts to feel very natural. I have already started incorporating the extra buttons into every game and will continue to do so. The hardware side of this mouse is fantastic.
The software for the mouse is also excellent. It was a bit daunting at first, but luckily, there was an example I could learn from, and after messing around with it for a while, it is now straightforward to use. The one feature I was scared of was the automatic profile switching, as all past mice I have used with such a feature implemented this poorly and as such, the switching rarely occurred. This is not the case with the Swiftpoint app, as I have not had any issues with it, and the switching is seamless.
The last thing is the fantastic support team. I had a minor issue with shipping, but the support team was accommodating and ensured I received my product. They were fast to respond and extremely helpful and professional at all times.
It's like it was made for me. Perfect size for my hands, large-ish. I get just the right amount of support from the rear of the mouse into my palm whereas with the Naga Trinity it left me using my palm without any support.
The button layout is USEABLE; on the Naga I had to use my thumb to select nine tiny buttons so I really only was able to make game-use of 5 of them.
With my Z2 the buttons/switches are exactly where they need to be. No thumb contortions required.
I love the weight, lighter mice skit around for me; this has a touch of substance to it.
I haven't dived deep into the software yet but what I have found has been simple to instigate and and detailed in options.
And it's not covered in unicorn mess; always a bonus for the grown-ups among the community.
Longevity.. we'll see, but a very satisfied first few days.
I just received my mouse after an obstacle course with the post office, but the Swift team was really super nice and efficient! Thank you! I haven't tried it yet but I already had a model 700 so I know the concept well. To respond to the comments concerning the fact that a box may be missing, I agree but the Z2 is still sold less expensively so I won't quibble!
This mouse comes with many buttons and accessories that let yoy customize based in your game and style. I just wish for all that mo ey they would provide you with a case so you can carry around the mouse and the accessories easier.....
Mouse shape I don't like.
If you are doing FPS, a round type with equal left and right sides would be better.
If you use tilt, it should be easier to balance.
The switching of each button and application system build is great.
It's a fantastic mouse for on the go. The only problem was it cost sooo much postage. I had a voucher giving me money off which was good but if I didn't have that, I would have paid close to £200. Not worth it. I would suggest wait for a voucher or a sale.
Small and easy to carry mouse, i would suggest to change the bluetooth pairing to some direct button with indication, then ur sure to beat some pro mouses
Go this for my wife she is always working on a tv tray. Perfect size for the limited space
I daily drive the original Swiftpoint Z and it took about 4 years of heavy use before one of the caps finally broke off. I was pretty upset until I found out I could order replacements. I would have preferred to have been able to by a smaller set of just the caps I needed, but now I have replacements for if any other caps break. I love this mouse and the only thing that I'd swap it for would be a full featured wireless version. Until then I'm a huge fan of this mouse and will continue to support it and other Swiftpoint products.
This is an amazing mouse. More buttons than I've ever needed. Highly recommend for those users that like to macro
Purchased for work and it has significantly increased my productivity. The macro mapping feature and the smartly organized buttons have been a dream to use. I recommend this mouse to everyone I know!
I have been using my Swiftpoint Z for over 3 years now and I can say that I will never use another mouse after experiencing the Z. The edge, finger tip and trigger buttons are completely game changing. You can set them up so you almost never have to take fingers off your movement keys, which is amazing for competitive FPS gameplay. Im also a musician and have set this mouse up for use with my DAW. Programing Hot keys to the extra buttons on this mouse has exponentially increased how efficient my workflow is when writing music. The last thing I will say is I estimate I have over 5k hours of just gaming on this mouse. This thing is durable and has no signs of slowing down!
Love the propoint as a key part of my portable tech kit, no matter where I go. As a use of the MX Vertical both at home and at office, the propoint is a fantastic mini substitute for it at coffeeshops, meeting rooms and any where else with limited space. Fantastic customer service too - had a problem with the battery and they sent over a 1 for 1 replacement with minimal testing - not a hundred questions designed to make you give up on your warranty. Love it in my kit and will recommend it highly!
I love this mouse's feel in hand and its versatility, however, I wish there was a way to work with the gyro refresh rate, it feels sluggish with FPS games where quick leaning/quick peaking would be an advantage
Best mouse I've ever had. Build quality is top notch, buttons are responsive and sturdy. Would make more of a concave on the sides to allow for easier pickup during tasks/gaming, but overall amazing.
It takes a minute to set up to your preference, and may require a bit of adjustment to your mouse dripping technique. But, the Z2 is a well made and full of customizable input. Love it so far, with my only real complaint being the mouse wheel. I much prefer the adjustable free scroll on other options like the g502. Even if the scroll wheel were to feel more substantial (perhaps by using more robust materials) it would be a marked improvement. Love the mouse, and will look forward to the next iteration!
I really like the button placement above the left and right click. It makes games feel more balanced instead of making you're left hand do all the work.
Very interesting. Would love to see a design that fits finger grip style, pointer finger on left mouse, middle finger on scroll wheel, ring finger on right mouse. Would love that. Plus wireless. But other than that, this mouse is a game changer. T. James G.~2024-06-04
I had a very serious accident that left me with memory & migraine issues. After being prescribed a "migraine" medication that further damaged my memory to the point of senility, I struggled w/short-term amnesia for nearly a decade. After several years of zero progress, I found a neurologist who wanted me to try gaming therapy. At first I only played single-player games, but after a few months w/no positive results, I began to doubt the therapy, & think I was hopeless.
Then Fortnite burst onto the scene & from the moment I first saw gameplay, I was hooked. The only problem was I'd never played PvP multi-player games or shooters. I had zero skill & knowledge. I'm a highly competitive person tho & very stubborn. I probably played for an entire year before I started regularly winning at the game, but I'd noticed within the first month that I was having memory improvement. The drive to win, paired with the high-pressure situations associated w/pvp shooters, really pushed my memory under the toughest conditions & this was something that nothing else could really replicate, & it was finally rebuilding/working-out the broken memory mechanism in my brain. I'd searched for over 5 years & I'd finally found something that worked. The only problem is that even after I got some skills, I was still a 40yr old man w/little gaming experience, going up against sweaty 14yr old's. Losing all the time doesn't do much to improve the memory. It helps still, but it's the repetitive memory stressors that come from taking fights & figuring out the right weapon for the right situation, in nano-seconds, that works-out the memory mechanism best. I needed to win more, I had to get better somehow.
Enter the Swiftpoint Z-1. In addition to the memory problems & also have spinal injuries, with nerve impingement, so my reaction times are slower than even the average 40 year old, let alone a healthy 14 yr old. Nothing is going to improve that, but the Z-1 helps even the playing field for me. Having keystrokes literally at your fingertips of both hands took my gameplay to the next level. I was winning more, & taking more fights, which meant more situations where my memory had to work in overdrive. After playing the game & using the Z-mouse for 5yrs, I no longer fit the "short-term amnesia" diagnosis I'd had for nearly a decade. Fortnite had changed my life in ways nothing else could, & the Z-1 mouse is/was an essential tool to empower my gameplay. Without it I wouldn't have made the strives I have. I've achieved the second highest level (platinum) in competitive Fortnite. Considering there are only a few thousand people w/the highest level (Unreal), I'd consider it a miracle if I didn't know the Z-1/Z-2 was an essential part of that achievement.
I'm also a creator, who works professionally in music as a musician & audio/mix engineer. I was unemployable for many years after my accident & thru my memory struggles, but the Z-1 helped in that department as well, allowing me to put most of my keyboard shortcuts at my fingertips. For whatever reason, I was/am able to retain muscle memory, much easier than data & having those shortcuts as mouse buttons is essential to that. I'm also using Unreal Engine 5.4 for personal creative projects & again, the Z-1 has become an essential tool. Most of the tools I use in video creation are right there at my fingertips & it's helped me advance really quickly. I still have memory issues, but it's on-par w/your typical forgetful person now. I'm able to have a much more enriched & art-filled life, thanks in very large part to the Z-1 & Z-2. It's obviously not going to be that life-changing for the typical user, but it will certainly improve your gameplay & expand your creative life. My original Z-1 is still running strong five years later, & the new Z-2 not only insures I have a back-up & mice for both my PC's, but it's somehow even faster & smoother operating than the original. The support has always been kind & personable, although I've only ever needed to contact them for additional parts, since the mouse has never broken down. I even spilled water on my Z-1 & it kept ticking. I can't recommend the Z-2 more. It's the most useful tool in my arsenal & it literally helped change my life.
The amount of customization and unique custom inputs allow me to navigate sites and files super quickly and smoothly
I switched to this mouse from G502. For the most part all the features are great the only thing keeping me from giving this a mouse a 5 is that the construction of the mouse doesn't feel as solid as the 502 (feels more plastic less metal parts) which is a little unfortunate because the switchpoint cost more than double than the 502 at this time. The other reason i give this mouse only a 4 is the auto profile switch doesn't reliably switch when tabbing in and out of the game I ended up putting it on manual switch. I just wish that for the price your paying the product would feel a little more quality and have some of these software issues taken care of already
All in all I still like the mouse for its extra buttons and functionality and will continue to use it as my main gaming mouse. I'm sure with updates they will eventually fix the auto profile switching and add more features. I can't wait for them to add custom animation uploads to the oled screen.
